It's taken me some time, but I'm finally getting to this one. Thanks for the tag, Suzy & GrandmaK!
I'm supposed to mention 6 quirks of mine. So here goes. After this, I guess you'll think me weird!
1. I don't like when people place their bare feet up on the dashboard of the car when riding in the passenger seat. I don't like to see dry, cracked, yucky toenails out in full view for the world to see. Now if you have nicely manicured feet that's different. Those I don't mind so much! Needless to say, I practice what I preach. My not so nice feet don't see the light of day when I'm the passenger! LOL! By the way, is this a California thing or do you all like to put your feet up when riding in the passenger seat?
2. I'm a definite carb person. I have to restrain myself from eating all the bread, biscuits, tortilla strips, etc. that are placed at the table before the main meal. I try not to be greedy but sometimes it's difficult. When eating a slice of pie, I mostly eat the crust and if I could, would leave most of the fillings out. I've been known to just bake a crust with no intention of putting anything in it!
3. This probably should be placed in number 2, but I need more quirks to fill out the 6. I sometimes eat more of the dough in the chocolate chip cookie than the actual chocolate chips. Most people love all the chocolate in the cookies. Not me! I'd just as soon have a token 3 or 4 chips in the whole cookie. Isn't that weird? My poor kids get deprived when I make chocolate chips cookies!
4. I love to touch the fabric when going to the craft stores. Ditto for yarn in yarn shops. If it's a nice, fine, baby yarn, I'll even sneak a rub against my cheek!
5. I don't look at myself in the mirror at night. This mostly pertains to when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I don't turn on the light, just using the little glow from the nightlight. I remember too many childhood horror stories, read too many horror books, seen too many horror movies, all that stuff. I'm always afraid of what I'll see in the mirror! YIKES!
6. I like to see the credits after all the movies I watch. Most of the time, Steve and I are the only ones left in the movie theatre after a movie ends. We have a running joke. Who will be the first one to see who the Key Grip is and who The Best Boy is.
So there you have it. It's freeing to confess some of my weirdness/quirkiness! I'm sure I have more, but I guess since it's me, I don't think of it as weird.
Have a nice day everyone!

I like your answers very much:)
Lisa, you are too cute. I used to be afraid to look in the mirror at night too because I knew a devilish face would be looking back. I'm not afraid anymore because it's always my face looking back! It's not devilish but frightening sometimes in a funny way. Have you ever been in a bathroom that has a skylight or window at the ceiling? If I'm using the restroom and its night, I WONT look up because I know that devilish person that used to frighten me in the mirror has moved to the skylight! Too funny! One of my many quirks is I love to smell the paper when I'm reading a book. I'm reading the "The Last Jihad" by Joel Rosenberg right now and the paper is heavenly. I had Frank smell it last night and confessed to him that I love smelling it. I've also told people that if they see me putting my Bible to my face I'm not kissing the Word, I'm smelling it.
Another quirk, I do not mix my food. Every item has to be in it's separate place.
One more, I don't like sitting in the same place that a person had just sat on and it's still warm. Ugh! This happens a lot in an office when one is demonstrating a computer program and then they say your turn and have you sit down there and it's all warm from their rear end. Ugh, ugh!
Do you want to hear more......? :)
Sorry Lisa, it's me again. I wanted to make a comment about your loving bread. I do too! When there's a bread basket around do you wish you could eat all the bread in the basket? Do you look around to see if everyone has a piece and then go for seconds because you've already eaten yours? Tell you what, if we ever go out for dinner we'll order ourselves separate bread baskets and eat it all ourselves. With no guilt! Love ya. :)
Great answers Lisa!
I like to watch the credits at the end of a movie too, especially if I really loved the film :0)
As far as putting our feet on the dashboard, I'm afraid to say it's probably a California thing. We're all wearing muddy welly boots at the moment due to all the rain.lol! It's been raining constantly for a week now!
I don't think muddy boots would look to good on the dashboard ;0)
***Have a great day***
Suzy ~
This was very good...actually, I would just be happy to eat ALL the cookie dough...carbs included! Thank you! Cathy
Hi Lisa! Loved reading this post. My husband is just like you about the chocolate chip cookies. Sometimes, when I make them, I make the first pan with no chocolate chips at all---just for him. I can understand that quirk, even though it is pretty darn quirky!
Have a great week!
I'm totally with you on #1...ick, gross, blaah!
My husband and I like to stay for the credits, too; not so much to read them, just for the sheer joy that we are at the movies, by ourselves, and are thus trying to prolong the blessed moment!
Just wanted to let you know I tagged you for another meme over at my place. Sorry if you're feeling all memed out :0)
No pressure on this one!
~Blessings~

NUMBER SIX: I must speak to this.
My husband is a television producer. (For a school system)
He LOVES to stay for credit. I do not. So, to hear that another couple is out there looking at who played the stand in for Drew Barrymore and who the second grip boy was. I'm surprised the cleaning people haven't asked us to lift our feet so they can sweep under them. (My feet by the way- though polished- are not ones you would want on your dash...they are a little crackly around the heels and I now sport a bunion.
This teacher cannot leave a comment without messing it up.
The previous comment is supposed to say that I am happy to know you are out there doing it too. Yeesh. Save me from me.
